Food Flash!

Hi
Just heard the chef won't have started by the 5th of January, so the format of the munch with people bringing nibbles and dips will continue for the next munch.
So that's please bring nibbles and dips to eat, thanks.

Mike.
New Year, New Dates, New Format.

The New Year will bring a few changes to Putney Munch.
The first of which is, we have a new date. The munch will now run on the first Thursday of the month. This is to ensure we don't clash with any football matches.
The second is, the pub will now be providing hot food, cooked fresh on the premises by a chef. So we will no longer need to bring our own food. Hopefully we won't lose too much of the character of the munch with this change.
So the next munch is only a couple of weeks away on Thursday 5th of January! Hopefully people won't be too tired from the new year.

See you all there.
Mike.

The Season for Feasting is upon us so once again I call upon the Catering Wing of the Putney Munch to launch into action in supermarkets, delis and kitchens throughout the land.
I'll be armed with Gingerbread Men and Icing Pens for the Traditional Gingerbread Men Decorating Competition. And Sausage Rolls. Mike's bringing Stollen. TailsLondon has promised to bring his legendary Home-Made Red Pepper Hummous.
What will you bring? Mince Pies? Cake? Cookies? Dips? Olives? Dippy things? Some other delicious nibbles?
Let me know either by memo to '
Strummorlikami' on

See you all there,

Christmas Special: Secret Santa!
02/Dec/2005 20:07
I thought I better make a post ahead of the christmas munch (Thursday, 22nd December).
The plan is that we will be doing secret santa. This is where you bring a present for someone at the munch. The thing is, you don't know who to, and they don't know who gave the present.
So, first off...
The Rules.
- Maximum spend £5. (Ok, let's call it ballpark spend of £5 - don't go over board, this is meant to be fun, not a competition!).
- Please wrap your present.
- Your present should be suitable for anyone. Man or Women. Top or Bottom. I can't say what mix we'll have on the night and this makes it all easier.
On the night.
- Put your present on the top table.
- Take a raffle ticket. Don't lose it!
- At 10pm we will draw the raffle tickets, when your number is called, go up and take a present.
Now, if you don't want to partake in the christmas sillyness, don't worry. You can still come to the munch without a present, you just don't get to take a present home. Feel free to just come and eat mince pies and stollen with us.
